Training

Below are two free training plans aimed at riders who are already racing and want to get faster, or those who want to have a go at their first race.

The plans are tried and tested, but, as with all exercise schedules, if you intend to follow them you should adapt them to suit your own lifestyle, ability and current fitness level.

Both schedules have been adapted from Joe Friel's Training Bible and compiled by Jay and Maddie Horton.

Between us we have over 10 years experience as self coached athletes.  Our training schedules have got us to National podiums in cross country and endurance events and we wanted to share what we have learned with riders who are just starting out.
